Under a lot of stress because we think humanity must take all avenues to get our countries to not strengthen UN in three weeks at this Summit -
The words of the documents say countries must "strengthen UN" rather than reform UN..
These 2 US Bills you mention are important, absolutely, but these 3 UN docs being negotiated right now are more urgent and equally as important.
We think these actions taken now could actually result in wider wins for more countries than just US. If we can prevent this from becoming doomsday in 3 weeks it will be a big win for humanity against UN much earlier than US could ever push those 2 Bills through to EXIT UN...
If the end goal is to EXIT UN, let's think a minute...
How can we live with ourselves if we do nothing on these docs that will change international norms and let them get adopted whilst KNOWING these docs will force the countries to agree on strengthening the long term bond and funding with UN?... We need to WEAKEN THAT BOND PRONTO in our humble opinion... Does this make sense?

I totally understand what pact for the future is all about, and I also get the need of working local at the same time as global but I think it is imperative to remind each and every person taking these actions to also take the action aimed at the beast. I have had my eye on this for a very long time and it is important to recognize that even if they walk away from pact for the future there will be a new one ...it is never ending until we chop it at the head. As far as wider wins go, the US is the heart of the beast and IMO, there is nothing that will affect other countries faster than the US departing from the UN. While this is going on we have "Freedom Fighters" who think reform is all that is needed and that is so far from the truth.
